Tour Itinerary
On this full-day tour, we will pick you up from your hotel/riad in Fez and head to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. The site is known for its well-preserved remains, including public buildings, temples, private houses, and beautiful mosaics. Located near the holy town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, Volubilis is particularly interesting for the way Roman and local Berber influences can be seen in its architecture, mosaics, and decorative details.
After visiting Volubilis, we continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. Meknes is known for its historic monuments, impressive gates, and rich architectural heritage. Among its highlights is Bab Mansour, one of the city’s most famous landmarks, built in the 18th century and decorated with detailed tilework and carvings. Depending on the itinerary, there is also the opportunity to visit Dar Jamai Museum, home to a collection of traditional Moroccan art and artefacts.
At the end of the day, we return to Fez for an overnight stay at your hotel/riad.
