Tour Overview
The Middle Atlas offers a different side of Morocco, with cool mountain air, cedar forests, green valleys, and small mountain towns. Ifrane is known for its clean streets and European-style architecture, while Azrou has a more traditional feel, with cedar forests, local crafts, and Berber heritage. Around Immouzar, the landscape becomes more rural, with orchards, mountain villages, and a slower pace of life.

Tour Itinerary
Discover the Middle Atlas on a full-day trip from Fez. After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel/riad and head towards Immouzar. Known for its scenic surroundings and traditional Berber way of life, the area is also famous for its annual Apple Festival held in September.
As we continue towards Ifrane, we will stop at Ain Vital to enjoy the surrounding hills and landscapes. We then continue to Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its Alpine-style architecture, green spaces, and clean, picturesque streets. Founded during the French Protectorate, the town has a distinctive European influence and is known for its famous stone lion.
After some time in Ifrane, we continue through the Middle Atlas and into the surrounding cedar forests, with a stop for lunch along the way. We then head towards Azrou, a mountain town surrounded by cedar trees and known for its local crafts, including woodwork and traditional rugs. The area also offers a chance to see local shepherds and enjoy the peaceful scenery of the Atlas Mountains.
The day ends with a visit to a Berber family living in a traditional cave house, where you can enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea and learn more about local customs and traditions. We then return to Fez and drop you off at your hotel/iad.
