Tour Itinerary
Today, you’ll have plenty of time to visit the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou. Your journey begins in Marrakech and takes you through the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass at an altitude of 2,260m before reaching the fortified Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
Our first stop of the day is a traditional Berber village, where this unique experience gives you a great insight into rural life in Morocco. You will have the opportunity to take photos and experience the traditional way of life in the village. Next, we’ll take some time to visit a local women’s cooperative, where they will explain and demonstrate how Argan oil is extracted from the trees and used in cosmetics and traditional treatments.
For our last stop of the day, we will arrive at the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou. It is one of the most famous places in Morocco, a place filled with history that was once an important stop along the ancient caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara. It has also been used as a filming location for various movies, including Gladiator, The Mummy, Black Hawk Down, and The Message, as well as the critically acclaimed series Game of Thrones.
