This 7-day private tour takes you through the different landscapes and traditions of southern Morocco. You’ll experience the Atlantic coast, the Anti-Atlas Mountains, traditional villages, local markets, and the Sahara Desert. The tour is a chance to see how people live and work in these regions, discover local crafts and traditions, and enjoy the natural scenery along the way. In the desert, you’ll have a 4WD experience, ride camels at sunset, and spend the night at a traditional camp with dinner and local music.

  • 1st Day (180Km): Atlantic Coast & Berber Heritage
    AGADIR ⤍ TIZNIT ⤍ MIRLEFT ⤍ LEGZIRA ⤍ SIDI IFNI

    Today, your adventure begins with a visit to Tiznit, where we’ll explore its historic medina. Tiznit is particularly known for its silver jewelry, with local shops and artisans showcasing traditional designs and Berber motifs.

    Later, we’ll drive towards Mirleft, a charming coastal town known for its beautiful beaches and relaxed atmosphere. From there, we’ll continue to Legzira Beach, famous for its red sandstone arches and cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

    We’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy fresh seafood. After lunch, you’ll have some time to explore the beach and its surroundings, take a walk along the coast, or simply relax and enjoy the ocean views.

    We’ll then continue to the coastal town of Sidi Ifni. Here, you can walk through its streets and see the town’s Art Deco and Spanish-influenced architecture, reflecting its history. You’ll also have time to enjoy the Atlantic views and relax on the beach.

  • 2nd Day (187Km): Anti-Atlas Landscapes
    SIDI IFNI ⤍ TAFRAOUTE

    Waking up at your riad/hotel, you may hear the sound of the ocean waves outside your window, a lovely way to start the day. After breakfast, we’ll leave Sidi Ifni and head to Tafraoute, driving through the picturesque Anti-Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you’ll see traditional Berber villages and green valleys.

    Once we arrive in Tafraoute, we’ll visit the area’s distinctive pink and orange granite rock formations. The different colors of the rocks come from their mineral composition and the way the sunlight falls on them. We’ll then explore the souks of Tafraoute, where you can find colorful textiles, handmade pottery, traditional jewelry, local spices, and other local products.

  • 3rd Day (168Km): Berber Heritage & Kasbahs
    TAFRAOUTE ⤍ TIZOURGANE KASBAH ⤍ TAROUDANT

    Today, we’ll leave Tafraoute and continue towards Taroudant, driving through the Anti-Atlas Mountains and enjoying views of the rugged landscape and fertile valleys along the way.

    Our first stop of the day will be Tizourgane Kasbah, an 18th-century fortress known for its traditional architecture and panoramic views. Its well-preserved buildings offer an insight into the history and architecture of the region.

    Next, we’ll continue to Taroudant, often known as “Little Marrakech”. The city is known for its well-preserved medina, lively souks, and traditional city walls. You’ll have time to explore the markets and walk through the medina before settling into your accommodation.

  • 4th Day (263Km): Saffron, Crafts & Kasbahs
    TAROUDANT ⤍ TALIOUINE ⤍ TAZNAKHT ⤍ AÏT BENHADDOU KASBAH

    Today, we’ll pick you up from your riad in Taroudant and head to our first stop of the day: Taliouine. This town is famous for its saffron fields and rich Berber heritage. You’ll have the chance to visit the Kasbah of Taliouine, a fine example of traditional architecture and an important part of the region’s saffron-producing heritage.

    Next, we’ll travel to Taznakht, a charming town known for its beautiful Berber carpets. Local artisans are known for their traditional weaving techniques, offering an interesting insight into Moroccan craftsmanship and culture.

    From Taznakht, we’ll continue to the stunning Aït Benhaddou Kasbah. It is one of the best-preserved fortified villages in southern Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The kasbah has also been used as a filming location for several movies and TV series, including Gladiator, The Mummy, Black Hawk Down, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones.

  • 5th Day (338Km): Draa Valley & Sahara Adventure
    AÏT BENHADDOU ⤍ DRAA VALLEY ⤍ ZAGORA ⤍ TAMEGROUTE ⤍ M'HAMID ⤍ ERG CHIGAGA DESERT

    After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your riad/hotel in Aït Benhaddou and head towards the Erg Chigaga Desert. Our route will take us through the Draa Valley, known for its palm groves and beautiful landscapes. Along the way, we’ll visit the historic Tamegroute Koranic Library, where you can see a collection of ancient manuscripts and learn more about the region’s scholarly heritage. The library contains more than 4,000 books and was founded in the 17th century by scholars of the Zaouïa Naciria.

    Next, we’ll take a short walk to the underground Kasbah, where you’ll have time to explore and take some photos. We’ll also visit the local pottery workshops, known for their distinctive green glaze and traditional designs. We’ll then continue to El Mhamid, the last oasis in the Draa Valley before entering the Sahara and heading towards the Erg Chigaga dunes. We’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

    After lunch, we’ll continue our journey along the desert tracks to Erg Chigaga. Once we arrive, you’ll meet the camel guide and begin your camel trek as the sun starts to set. Take some time to enjoy the desert scenery and peaceful atmosphere, and watch the sunset over the dunes. You’ll have the opportunity to take photos and enjoy the surroundings before dinner.

  • 6th Day (200Km): Sahara & Desert Landscapes
    ERG CHIGAGA DESERT ⤍ LAKE IRIQUI ⤍ FOUM ZGUUID ⤍ TATA
    200km — (62km Through the Paris-Dakar Road)

    Today, you can wake up early (optional) to enjoy the sunrise over the sand dunes, then return to the camp for a traditional breakfast before checking out. Next, we’ll continue our journey to Foum Zguid, crossing Lake Iriqui along the Paris-Dakar track. Along the way, we’ll make a few stops to enjoy the desert landscapes and take photos.

    Once we arrive in Foum Zguid, we’ll continue towards Tata, passing through the beautiful Aguinane Oasis.

  • 7th Day (268Km): Oases & Coastal Landscapes
    TATA ⤍ IRHERM ⤍ OASIS OF TIOUT ⤍ AGADIR

    Departing from Tata, we’ll drive through the town of Ighrm before reaching the Oasis of Tiout, a peaceful green area near Taroudant known for its palm groves and traditional Berber villages.

    Here, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy some traditional Moroccan dishes. After lunch, we’ll continue our drive to Agadir, where you’ll have some free time to relax and enjoy the city and its beaches.
