Discover the Middle Atlas on a day trip from Fez. After breakfast, we’ll collect you from your Fez hotel and towads to Ifrane. Our first stop of the day is to Immouzar renowned for its scenic beauty and cultural significance. Known for its traditional Berber lifestyle and the annual September Apple Festival, Immouzar offers a glimpse into rural Berber life. As you drive towards Ifrane, stop to admire the hills of Ain Vital, where features landscapes, making it a popular spot for capturing beautiful photographs. Once we arrive at Ifrane, explore this beautiful town, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” known for its Alpine-style architecture, lush gardens, and clean, picturesque streets. Founded in 1930 by French colonists, Ifrane boasts a distinctive blend of Moroccan and European influences. See the marvel at the massive stone lion in town. Stroll along alleys lined architecture before heading to Ifrane National Park, stop for lunch. Next, we’ll drive towards Azrou, located at an altitude of 4,100 feet, Azrou is surrounded by cedar forests and offers a glimpse into the Berber way of life. The village is known for its skilled artisans who create intricate woodwork and rugs. It’s also a great spot to observe local Berber shepherds with their flocks and enjoy the serene landscapes of the Atlas Mountains. Finish your tour with a visit to a Berber family residing in a traditional cave house and enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea while learn the rich culture and traditions of the Berber people. After we’ll head back to your hotel in Fez.
