On this 3-day tour from Fez to Marrakesh, exploring the varied landscapes and cultural marvels that define Morocco’s unique. Begin by heading south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at the majestic Azrou Cedar Forest, where Barbary macaque roam amidst ancient trees. Travel further to the Merzouga Desert, where camel rides will take you across the expansive Erg Chebbi dunes, providing an awe-inspiring sunset experience and an unforgettable night under the starlit desert sky in a Berber desert camp. The next day, explore the impressive Todra Gorge with its towering cliffs, then continue to the picturesque Dades Gorge, known for its striking rock formations. Spend the night in a luxury riad, soaking in the tranquil surroundings. On the final day, explore the historic Ait Benhaddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, followed by a scenic trip over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where you’ll enjoy an amazing panoramic views, Your tour concludes as you arrive in Marrakesh, a city of bustling markets, intricate architecture, and rich cultural heritage nestled at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.

Detailed Itinerary

1st Day: 462km
Fez – Ifran – Azrou Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

After a sumptuous breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel in Fez at 7:30 am. The first stop is in the city of Ifrane which is known for its beautiful landscapes, clean streets, and European-style architecture. its often known as Switzerland of Morocco due to its resemblance to Swiss towns with its alpine-style houses and snowy winters. Next, we drive to Azrou Cedar Forest, which provide habitat for a variety of wildlife, including the endangered Barbary apes. Lunch well be the nice restaurant in Midelt. Later, after a drive along the foothills of Ziz Valley Mountains, enjoying the mesmerizing landscape of the Valley. We’ll stop for a cup of coffe at the peak of the mountain, seeing a wonderful panoramic view of Ziz valley.
The last stop the day is to Merzouga, where you’ll have the opportunity to seeing a fascinating panorama view of the high sand dunes of “Erg Chebbi”. Once we arrive you will meet the driver camel, where pick up for desert camp to spend the night in this typical Berber camp in Erg chebbi. Enjoy a a wonderful view during the sundown over the sand dunes and traditional dinner under the stars with the beat of locals traditional folk songs and dancing around the campfire.

Mezouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

In the morning you will enjoy an memorable experience!, where you’ll climb the dunes upwards to watch the sunrise(optional). Then go back into the camp for serve a warm typical breakfast. Next, depart the authentic south to Dades valley. our first stop the day is to Rissani Town, where you’ll visit one of the oldest and most authentic traditional markets in the country, with a rich history dating back several centuries. Next, we continue our drive to Todra Dades. It’s a lovely stop along the route to the Sahara desert, and features high limestone cliffs rising up to 300m. The landscape of this place even in summer leaves a deep impression. Lunch in the local restaurant Todra Dades. The last stop of the day is to winding Road in Dades. It’s a Gorge carved out by the Dades River, which separates the Atlas Mountains to the Anti-Atlas. Overnight in your riad at Dades Gorge.

Dades Gorges – Kalaat M’Gouna – Aït Benhadou – Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakesh

After your breakfast, we drive towards Marrakesh. Our first stop of the day is to Kalaat M’Gouna, also known as Valley of Roses, where provides insights into the local Berber culture and way of life. The town is famous for its rose cultivation and production. Every May, Kalaat M’Gouna hosts the Rose Festival, a vibrant celebration of the local rose harvest. Next, we head to Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and one of Morocco’s most famous sites. Once we arrive, it will be time for lunch and have a memorable lunch. Ait Benhaddou is a fortified historic kasbah and was a major stop point on the ancient caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara. Many various movies were filmed at this historic site such as Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, The Message, and most recent critically acclaimed series Game of Thrones. Next, we continue our tour to the last stop through Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass 2.260m. Time for a short stop for some great photos and rest. Overnight in your riad/hotel at Marrakesh.
